How to Measure Standard Style Slings

This page will guide you through the process of measuring a sling that fits in a standard sling rail. If you are not sure which rail/sling-type you have, please visit our How to Measure for Replacement Slings page.

Step 1

Measure Width at the Top

Measure from the outside edge of the fabric, just before it goes into the sling rail, and 2-4" from the top.

Step 2

Measure Width at the Bottom

Measure from the outside edge of the fabric, just before it goes into the sling rail, and 2-4" from the top.

Step 3

Measure Length

Measure along the sling rail from the top to the bottom. Be sure not to pull the tape measure so tight that it stretches'.

Step 4

Measure Spline

Measure the diameter of the plastic bowel (spline) that is in your existing sling.

Step 5

Rinse & Repeat

Easy, right? Now repeat steps 1-4 for each sling you have. Make sure you note which dimensions go to which sling.
